Our great logo was designed by some of the children and the words ‘lend a hand’ really sum up what we would love everyone to do!
We have the following aims:
Raise money for school projects that will benefit our children
Encourage as many parents as possible to have an active part in their child’s school in a practical way
Provide a means whereby families can meet and socialise in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere
Build relationships and friendships within our school community
Encourage involvement with the PTA that is both enjoyable and rewarding
Everyone can be a member:
Every parent, carer, member of staff is automatically a member of the PTA and we want everyone to feel as if they are a part of it.
We love to have Parent representatives in each class
There is no prerequisite skill set required, the more diverse in terms of skills and personalities the better.
Why we raise money:
The staff at Rougham are never short of a wish list of things that they would like, to enhance the children’s learning and school environment and we are always very pleased to be able to grant their requests. As well as providing some fantastic gymnastics equipment and a large range of music instruments for class music lessons we are currently looking to help fund a sound system for the new hall and some more outdoor seating for our grounds.
We call on the strengths of so many different people in our activities, some up front and some in the background, dependent upon what people are willing to do. We would love you to support our future fundraising and community projects in the future. Please contact the PTA via the school email address.
The return of the FAMILY PUMPKIN PARTY on FRIDAY 13th OCTOBER 5-7pm in the School hall.
Tickets are £3 and will be on sale Monday 9th-Thursday 12th October at 3pm in the playground. There will be games, crafts, and fun to be had, so why not bring the whole family! Also on sale will be hot dogs, crisps, cakes, drinks, glow sticks etc.
To make the night extra special, we will be holding a pumpkin carving competition. When buying your entry ticket, we will be selling battery operated tea lights for £1.50 which are to be placed in the children’s carved pumpkins and placed, complete with name label (issued by the PTA), on their corresponding class table ready to be judged by the teachers. There are prizes to be won per class so get creative, but remember we want to see the children’s work!!
Another date for the diary is NOVEMBER 16th for BAGS 2 SCHOOL.
This is a great opportunity to have a clear out and home and raise money for the School - last year this raised £512! We get 50p/kg so if you have any unwanted clothing, paired shoes, bags etc. We would love you to bring them into the school playground on Nov 16th. Bags are given out in book bags nearer the date, but any bag can be used so why not start collecting now, and ask friends and family to donate too.

A BIG THANK YOU to everyone who supports our fundraising events, which we hope are fun for both children and adults alike. Last year we helped pay for new books and stools, and towards the new car park, and now hope to help pay for climbing apparatus which all children will have access to in the school field.
As always, feedback is appreciated so we ensure we host the right events for everyone.
