We were fortunate to have Sara Mildmay-White and Mark Beaumont from West Suffolk Council visit the school on Monday to help raise the awareness of our swimming pool appeal. Click here to see the article which is now live.
Our first priority throughout the general closure has been to make safe provision for the children of key workers and vulnerable children. We have provided this for mixed age groups of children working on the same home learning as their classmates with supervision from school staff. We have worked within social distancing rules and children have had their own equipment and places with lots of opportunities for outdoor activities. Although school has been very different, children attending have adapted well and enjoyed their time in school.
Quote from pupils - "We have made new lockdown school friends and made up new lockdown games to play. After we have done our school work we get to do fun things like planting hedges, having ice creams and painting rainbows."
Quote from Parent - "The girls have both been really happy to go to school each day. The staff have been wonderful in making school as normal as is possible and enjoyable for them."
Kristian Thomas, the GB Olympic gymnast, inspired us all to get active on Friday 31st January. We all had a lot of fun and loved his demonstration at the end of the afternoon. Please send in any sponsorship money or pay online by Friday 7th of February. Thank you for supporting the children and this event. We will let you know what new PE and play equipment is purchased through the fundraising.
Remember to keep active, healthy and fit!
