Uniform

All children at Rougham Primary School wear school uniform. We believe that it creates an environment of equality and mutual respect, and we encourage the children to be proud of their identity as members of our community.

Uniform can be ordered throughout the year from –

There is a supply of second hand uniform which is available to view in the main entrance foyer, please see the office staff if you would like to purchase any of these items - only £1 per item.

 

Please help us by labelling all items of children’s clothing!

 

Reception class and classes 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5 have book bags, children joining the school in any of these years are given a free Rougham book bag. Year 6 use rucksacks.  

 

The children wear:

  • Navy blue sweatshirt / sweat cardigan or fleece with the Rougham logo
  • Blue polo shirt with the Rougham logo
  • Grey trousers / skirt / pinafore
  • Grey socks / tights (white socks in the summer)
  • Black flat shoes (not boots)

In the summer term, grey flannel shorts or a blue and white checked dress may be worn.

The children need to have a suitable sunhat and sun cream in school during the summer months.  In the cooler months the children will need a suitable coat.  There is a school coat with the Rougham logo available to order via School Uniforms Plus however this is not compulsory.

 

In PE children wear:

  • White t-shirt with the Rougham logo
  • Navy blue shorts
  • Black plimsolls

This is kept in a drawstring bag on the children’s peg.  We also ask that the children bring a tracksuit or some jogging bottoms and a sweatshirt for Games lessons outside in the cooler months. 

 

Children are only permitted to wear small plain stud earrings and they must be able to remove them themselves for P.E. lessons or not wear them at all on P.E. lesson days.  Should you wish to have your child’s ears pierced, please do this at the beginning of the summer holidays so that they can be removed at the start of term.  Jewellery and nail varnish are not permitted; the children may wear a watch when they can tell the time.

 

In the first half of the summer term Years 5 & 6 have swimming lessons and in the second half of the summer term all children have swimming lessons, for this they will need:

  • One-piece swimsuit / swimming trunks (not Bermuda style shorts)
  • Towel
  • Swimming Hat – with name in large print on the front
