Collective Worship

Our school is a Church school and so is underpinned by Christian values.

As a school community we come together for daily collective worship where we share stories, think about our values, sing together and pray or reflect.

Our Monday, Wednesday and Friday assemblies involve all classes. On Tuesdays and Thursday we meet as a Key Stage either in church with

Rev. Cutler or in our own school hall.  During our assemblies we consider our focus Value for Life and link this to Christianity and life in modern Britain.

On Wednesdays, the Open the Book team re-enact stories from the Bible. Year 6 children lead our Friday celebration assembly where individual achievements are recognised. Also once a term each class leads an assembly.  Parents join us for shared Church assemblies to mark Christian festivals.

“I like looking at the candle in assembly because if makes you feel calm and happy” - Y3 Child

“I like singing because we come together and have a singing time” - Y3 Child
