We are thrilled to be able to report that the church inspection, which was conducted by Gill Hipwell on Wednesday 3rd May has judged our school to be good with outstanding features, even though we had been told in advance that the usual practise is that the judgement can only be one grade higher than that of Ofsted. The report says
‘Strong relationships and cohesive teamwork are enabling them to make good progress whilst ensuring the wellbeing of all.’
‘All parents spoken to by the inspector were in agreement that their children are challenged in school and make good progress.’
‘High quality relationships built on trust, responsibility and respect support individuals to face difficulties with confidence and a belief that success is always possible.’
The inspector was very thorough and throughout the day she scrutinised childrens’ attainment, progress, behaviour and attitudes to learning. She interviewed teachers, parents and governors. Gill Hipwell is a very experienced inspector who has demonstrated to us that inspections can be conducted in a respectful and positive way. We feel vindicated not just because of the outcome, which had to be verified by the Board of Education at Westminster, but because she allowed us to show what our school is really like.
