Rougham C of E Primary School Inspire to achieve
Log in

Rougham Primary School PTA is very much a part of the school.

Our great logo was designed by some of the children and the words ‘lend a hand’ really sum up what we would love everyone to do!

We have the following aims:

Raise money for school projects that will benefit our children

Encourage as many parents as possible to have an active part in their child’s school in a practical way

Provide a means whereby families can meet and socialise in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere

Build relationships and friendships within our school community

Encourage involvement with the PTA that is both enjoyable and rewarding

Everyone can be a member:

Every parent, carer, member of staff is automatically a member of the PTA and we want everyone to feel as if they are a part of it.

We love to have Parent representatives in each class

There is no prerequisite skill set required, the more diverse in terms of skills and personalities the better.

Why we raise money:

The staff at Rougham are never short of a wish list of things that they would like, to enhance the children’s learning and school environment and we are always very pleased to be able to grant their requests.  As well as providing some fantastic gymnastics equipment and a large range of music instruments for class music lessons we are currently looking to help fund a sound system for the new hall and some more outdoor seating for our grounds.

Getting involved:

We call on the strengths of so many different people in our activities, some up front and some in the background, dependent upon what people are willing to do.  We would love you to support our future fundraising and community projects in the future.  Please contact the PTA via the school email address.

This Terms Events

Red Disco On Friday 28th February we will be holding a Red Disco. Come wearing anything red: red socks, red t-shirt, red shoes and/or red hair bow. Tickets cost £3.50, which will include a hot dog and cold drink. Strawberry pots and apple pots will be available to buy on the night and some fun accessories. There will be games as well as time to dance.

Mothers Day Breakfast. We will be holding a Mothers’ Day breakfast of coffee and pastries on the morning of Friday 20th March in the school hall. All mums, nannies, grandma’s, and aunts are invited with your children to enjoy a hot drink and pastry to celebrate how special you are. Cost will be £1 per adult and 50p per child.

Easter Garden Competition. We will be holding an Easter Garden competition in the week commencing Monday 23rd March with judging on Friday 27th March. This will be open to all pupils with a £1 entry fee. Their Easter garden can be themed on the resurrection, spring/Easter flowers or spring/Easter animals. There will be winners for each class with prizes.

Hot Cross Buns This year at the school Easter assemblies on Tuesday 31st March, we will be supplying hot cross buns and teas/coffees for a donation. They will be available before and after each assembly. Any volunteers who will be able to help on the day will be greatly appreciated.

We are continuing with our printer ink recycling system. Please bring in any used ink cartridges or toner cartridges and put them in our recycling container. This always raises money and all these small activities top up the pot, so to speak. The recycling container can be found in the school reception.

A BIG THANK YOU to everyone who supports our fundraising events, which we hope are fun for both children and adults alike.

If you wish to have a chat about any ideas you may have then please come along to our next meeting or contact the following email
