Rougham Primary School PTA is very much a part of the school.


Our great logo was designed by some of the children and the words ‘lend a hand’ really sum up what we would love everyone to do!


We have the following aims:

Raise money for school projects that will benefit our children

Encourage as many parents as possible to have an active part in their child’s school in a practical way

Provide a means whereby families can meet and socialise in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere

Build relationships and friendships within our school community

Encourage involvement with the PTA that is both enjoyable and rewarding


Everyone can be a member:

Every parent, carer, member of staff is automatically a member of the PTA and we want everyone to feel as if they are a part of it. 

We love to have Parent representatives in each class

There is no prerequisite skill set required, the more diverse in terms of skills and personalities the better.


Why we raise money:

The staff at Rougham are never short of a wish list of things that they would like, to enhance the children’s learning and school environment and we are always very pleased to be able to grant their requests.  As well as providing some fantastic gymnastics equipment and a large range of music instruments for class music lessons we are currently looking to help fund a sound system for the new hall and some more outdoor seating for our grounds. 


Getting involved:

We call on the strengths of so many different people in our activities, some up front and some in the background, dependent upon what people are willing to do.  We would love you to support our future fundraising and community projects in the future.  Please contact the PTA via the school email address.

PTA Spring Term 


Kicking off the fundraising this year will be a Golden Ticket event on February 14th 3pm in the playground. Buy a chocolate bar for £1.50 to try and find the “golden tickets” and you could win a book voucher! We will sell on 15th if there are any leftover.


Easter follows shortly after this and to celebrate we will be having Easter Bingo on 29th March to start at 3.15pm in the school hall. Tickets for the event are £2.50 per player/bingo card bought in advance, or £3 on the door. The increased door price is to ensure we have enough drinks and snacks for all players as squash/water and a child’s snack is included in the ticket price! Tickets will be on sale from 25th March in the playground.

For it to be a great event, we would be very grateful of any Easter donations, be it chocolate, crafts etc… to be used as prizes for the games and also raffle. A box will be in reception shortly marked Easter bingo. Many thanks in advance.


Bags2school is back on February 27th, so any old clothes, bags, shoes etc. can be placed in bags near the bike shed by 9am on this date please. The school gets 40p/kg collected and last collection we raised nearly £170!!


The annual Quiz returns 17th May! Tickets are £8pp including food – sorry kids this is an adult only event- with teams of maximum 6 players. Who will be triumphant and who will get the wooden spoon? If you don’t have a full team no worries just come along for a great night out. Hot jacket potatoes with beans, cheese and coleslaw will be served at 7pm for 7.30pm start. BYO alcohol, but soft drinks and cakes will be on sale. There will also be a raffle and maybe some fun games! Tickets have to be bought in advance and will be on sale 13th-16th May 3pm in the playground.


New date for the diary is 5th July for school fete. In previous years the school fete has been held on a Saturday, but this year by holding it 3-6pm after school we are hoping it will make it more accessible to everybody and will ease the pressure on the few who organise it. More details will follow but please put the date in your diaries and let grandparents, family and friends know as it is a great fundraiser for the school!


As a green school we run an ink recycling scheme called “Empties Please” which is the big white box in reception. Please pop any used ink cartridges in there as we get money for them!


There is a vacancy for summer swimming pool coordinator. The swimming pool opens over the summer holidays for families to enjoy every day but we need a team of 2 or 3 people to run it this summer. Denise Nice has done a fantastic job over the last few years so whoever takes on the role will have everything they need to make it easy. For the children to continue to enjoy school swimming lessons we need the summer club to continue so please, if you are interested, or want to find out more before committing, contact school reception or a PTA member.
