Remote Learning

Remote Learning Page

Welcome to our remote learning page. Below you should find all the up to date information you will need if your child has to access learning at home due to self-isolation or whole school/ class bubble closures.

Google Classroom and Tapestry.

Daily home learning will no longer be posted on the school website's class pages and can instead be found through your child's Google Classroom account if they are in Years 1 to 6. Children in Willow Class can access their learning through Tapestry. If you have any difficulties logging in or are unsure of your child's details, please contact your child's teacher through the school office. There is a simple guide below for using Google Classroom as well as some links for accessing it on different devices.

We have a number of laptops available for families to borrow if you do not have a suitable device at home or have several children sharing a device. Please contact us via the school office if you would like to discuss the possibility of borrowing one.

Staying Safe Online

During periods of home learning, it is likely that children will be spending more time on the internet. Please visit our Safeguarding - Online Safety page under the Key Information tab to find lots of useful information and links for keeping children safe while they are online. We also have a page just for children with links to child friendly websites that teach about e-safety. Look for the Online Safety page under the children's tab.

Worries and Wellbeing

School isn't just about teaching children to read, write and add up. It's about nurturing and supporting the whole child. Wellbeing has always been a top priority at Rougham and the support and care that we provide doesn't stop when the children aren't in school. For many families, school closures or having to self-isolate can be a really difficult and anxious time and we are here to help. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you feel that you or your child would benefit from some extra support or a chance to talk. Just email the school office and your message will be forwarded to your child's class teacher, Mrs. Swinstead or Mrs. Clark.
