Our Vision
We foster a vision of guiding and inspiring every child to fulfil their potential in a nurturing Christian environment. We aspire to instil within young people the desire to pursue excellence and to be confident, positive and compassionate members of society who demonstrate respect for others.
In our commitment to achieve the above we aim;
To provide opportunities for every child to feel part of and be able to contribute to the school, local and global community through the teaching of rights and responsibilities and Christian Values.
To provide a rich and exciting curriculum which engages and motivates children and in which every child can develop fully as an individual and achieve their full potential
To develop inspired, independent, reflective and resilient children who have a love of learning and are curious to know more
To provide a secure supportive environment where children can develop respect for themselves, others and their surroundings resulting in pride in themselves, their peers and their school and who are equipped to meet the changes and challenges in their life ahead.
To have a reflective staff who constantly seek to develop their own professional skills, are receptive to new ideas and are well supported in developing outstanding practice.
These aims are integral to all that we do along with our School Values and Learning Powers.
Values for Life
As a Church School we actively promote and use Christian Values for Life. Each term (3 times a year) we focus on a different Value for Life. Each week we have a whole school assembly to start the week followed by a mixture of class assemblies and key stage assemblies. We use stories from the Bible and real life to develop the values. We encourage pupils to think about our Christian Values for Life at home too. An activity sheet that links to this term's value with ideas for activities to do at home as a family can be found by clicking on the values below.
Autumn | Spring | Summer | |
Year 1 | Thankfulness | Truthfulness | Humility |
Year 2 | Wisdom | Trust | Forgiveness |
Year 3 | Friendship | Justice | Compassion |
Our values are at the core of everything we do. They underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils as confident, happy citizens.
Building Learning Powers
